urban victorian retreat
This stately home had a beautiful interior, but the facade and expansive backyard needed a lot of love. In addition to a fresh exterior paint scheme and new light fixtures, we worked together with the homeowners to create a beautiful outdoor dining space, cozy fire pit, kids’ play space, and outdoor movie area.

shift to neutral
A high-contrast paint job had this historic home stuck in the ‘90s, a jarring contrast to the beautiful interior. Taking cues from the palette indoors, we chose restful neutrals punctuated by inky black trim at the window sashes, front porch and entry door.
elegant ease
One of the owners is a private chef, so we created an expansive outdoor dining space that could seat a crowd at a moment’s notice. The extra-long custom table was created using a leftover slab of quartz from the kitchen remodel. Bluestone pavers provide a textural base, while a simple pergola supports a mix of mood lighting above.
swing time
The swing was in the perfect location and the kids loved it, so we left it right where it was. But the landing spot was definitely in need of a clean up. River rocks, decomposed granite, and a swath of easy-care turf nearby make a perfect place for a tent, toys, and games.
magical movies
This space was a mess of dirt and construction debris when we first saw it! Inspired by the idea that the grown-ups could linger longer over dinner if the kids were happily occupied, we raided the owners’ stash of vintage textiles, rugs and furniture to create a magical starlight movie area.
