minty-fresh bedroom

the power of paper

I love the way wallpaper can transform a space! The inspiration for this room began with the client’s favorite color. When we found this modern mint pattern, it was clear this would drive the overall feeling of the room.

While there’s plenty of storage for supplies and books in the adjacent closet, I think it’s important to make sure hobby tools are on display. If she sees art tools nearby, she’s more likely to pick them up and use them!

In the same vein, we kept the other walls of the room clean and white so she has a backdrop for her evolving personal works of art.

custom touches

While hunting for the perfect pillow for this space, I ran across a duvet cover in this lovely mint and aqua painterly print. The fabric was ideal for the space, so we had it made into a lumbar pillow perfectly sized for both lounging and sleeping with.
